Emma Knows Brooklyn

I was born in New York and have lived in Brooklyn for the past 15 years, long enough to have strong opinions about bagels, bike lanes and which blocks get the best afternoon light.

My background is in tech design, where I've worked as a design director. That means I notice the light, the layout and the bones of a place before the throw pillows. I'm also a real estate investor and manage five rental units in Brooklyn, so I read a building's numbers the way a landlord does.
